Motorola poor results leave a reliance on the Motorola RIZR Z10
Friday 25 Apr 2008
Motorola has released the Z10 in a hope that its mobile social networking feature will increase sales to increase their next set of financial results.

Motorola has posted poor first quarter results this week which have slipped considerably on the same period last year. Motorola believe the release of the RIZR Z10 and further releases will push the return of Motorola.

Motorola Director of Applications and e-solutions, Andrew Till said: "The key message is that we understand this market has changed. You will see that come through in our next lot of financial results. In the mid and upper tier we recognise we have had to step up, and we have made a lot of public statements about that. But this is the tip of the iceberg in terms of the products we are launching and how people are going to use these services.”

O2 stores are the first to provide the Z10 to customers and it’s set to expand into a wider sales channel next month. Motorola are hopeful that the video editing suite and links to social networking sites will be an attraction for mobile phone users.

As an added bonus the Motorola RIZR Z10 comes pre-loaded with The Bourne Supremacy following the give away of The Bourne identity on the RIZR Z8.

Not being one’s to hang around, ND Mobiles is ready and waiting for those customers who fancy trying out the latest Motorola revolution.
O2 to slash the price of the Apple iPhone by £100
Tuesday 15 Apr 2008
New has leaked that O2 are set to announce a price reduction of the Apple iPhone.

The iPhone currently costs £269 but there is an expected announcement tomorrow that O2 are to cut the cost of the handset by £100, reducing the cost of the phone to £169 which is a significant drop in the price. This reduction follows T-Mobile's decision to cut the cost of the iPhone from £315 to £78 in Germany.

Reports suggest that supplies of the iPhone are running low in the US, France and the United Kingdom but are not being replenished which has led to speculation that the release of the 3G version is imminent.

This is a much appreciated further saving to the customers following the tariff changes made by O2 in February which saw them increase their £35 per month tariff from 200 minutes and 200 texts to 600 minutes and 500 texts.

Reports suggest Samsung are planning to release 8 megapixel camera phones
Friday 04 Apr 2008
Gadget review company Electronica has recently reported that Samsung are working on the production of an amazingly thin 8 megapixel camera.

We thought Okay, not really that interesting but then we read further into the article to discover that not only is it going to used just as a digital camera but it’s also planned to be used in their mobile phones. Imagine that, an 8 megapixel camera on your mobile that is actually a real digital camera. We think this will have a revolutionary impact on the mobile market and force the other mobile manufacturers to follow suit as soon as they can.

Essentially, this means that the camera phone has caught up with the digital camera which is fantastic news for us mobile users and even better than that, it will humble the critics who constantly insist camera phones are nowhere as good as digital cameras.

Right, shall we get into the specifications? Well you won’t believe this but the camera module Samsung are producing measures in at an incredible 1.5 centimetres across and is only 7.5mm thick. Put that into comparison terms and it means that it is slightly thicker than a pencil in width. It’s not all about appearances though as we need it to produce quality imaging. With ISO1600 low-light sensitivity it will work in the darkest of venues. Other features include anti-blur, noise correction and for when you take portrait shots it has facial and smile recognition. It’s quite simply unbelievably powerful for its size.

Unfortunately, there has not been any confirmation on release dates as yet but don’t be shocked if you see it at ND Mobiles in the latter part of 2008.
