Introducing the Samsung D900i

As with the D900, the D900i falls into a popular range best-selling phones and is part of the Ultra Editions range from Samsung. However, it goes one better than the D900 by cramming in an improved mediaplayer and stereo Bluetooth support. This phone has an impressive range of technological features, combined with outstanding design engineering.

Design

As part of the Ultra Editions range, the D900i is a lot slimmer than Samsungs other choice in mobile handsets. At only 13mm thin, this phone will easily slide into your pocket. Its based on Samsungs popular slide layout and has a large, vivid screen with an excellent colour range. The screen has also been produced to be sufficiently bright to help reduce problems with use during the daytime in sunlight. The keypad is designed to be flush to enable Samsung to squeeze in the improved features and still retain its slender feel.

Camera

The D900i comes with a 3-megapixel camera and has some excellent features. Its capable of 4x digital zoom to enable you to take photos from further away and still fill the screen with your subject by cutting out the background or unwanted surrounding areas. It includes an LED photo light to enable you to take photos in low lighting conditions without the image becoming too grainy, and a very useful autofocus to ensure that your photos stay sharp. The camera application gives you the option to adjust the white balance and ISO settings and you can add effects and frames to your photos giving you much more creative control over the images. You can also edit your photos using the built-in image editor before uploading them onto your PC or viewing them on the TV via the designated output port. This port is one of the new features and allows you view photos or video clips in high-quality on the TV so that you arent restricted to the handset display screen.

In comparison to the D900, the D900i has an improved MP3 player with stereo Bluetooth support which practically means that you can upload music from your PC directly and then listen to it wirelessly using the stereo headphones. As with the D900 it comes with Java games, polyphonic ringtones, and all a range of organisational features. As a quad-band phone the D900i will when you take it with you on your worldwide travels.
