Introducing the Nokia 6288

This slider phone has a beautifully versatile design making it suitable for both personal and business use. It comes with several corporate features as well as a range of personal entertainment features.

Design

This phone is built around the typical Nokia layout of its softkeys, but as its a slider phone this affords the 6288 the opportunity to increase the size of its screen and lay the numerical keypad underneath the slider. The result is a large, 35mm by 45mm, colour screen, and keypads with excellent spacing maximising their usability, surrounded by a high-gloss finish. This undoubtedly gives this phone a perfectly professional look to suit your business needs.

Camera

It comes with a 2-megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom which means that you can capture images from further away and still fill the screen with your subject by cutting out the background or unwanted surrounding areas. It also comes with a flash which means that it will be capable of capturing images in low lighting conditions without the picture becoming grainy. Nokia provide you with a fisheye mirror for self-portrait, and a very handy shortcut key which allows the use of camera sideways, which logistically will help reduce shaking when youre actually taking the photo. The MP3 player is compatible with a range of music files and Nokia kindly sell the 6288 bundled with a 512MB Mini SD card, which means you can store even more of your favourite music tracks In addition to this, the firmware has been upgraded since its predecessor the 6280and this latest phone comes with support for stereo Bluetooth, which means that you can listen to all your songs wirelessly. The more corporate of features to be found in the 6288 are its 3G connectivity, web browser and email facilities. Because its 3G this enables you to take advantage of the video calling feature for a face to face conversation.
